Title: Mr. William E. Brantley Passing
Post by: ClarkW on June 23, 2020, 10:31:49 PM
Saw that Tom Meiners posted on his Twitter tonight that he was saddened upon hearing and did a quick search and it looks as though Mr. Brantley passed away on June 19th.

I knew that he used to post here daily and I would always know that I would see his daily weather update for his local area.

Sad to hear of this.

I am sad to hear this. He seemed like a really nice man. He was really dedicated & loved the weather. I know he had been sick & had just recently returned home from a long stay in a rehab facility. Prayers to the family.

Very sad to hear. He unquestionably had a passion for weather. I had wondered why he had stopped posting, thought maybe he had just gotten tired of it.

RIP to Mr. Brantley

He seemed to be a very nice guy and created pretty much a library of climate data for the Jackson, TN area.

I enjoyed clicking on this thread to look at his daily data for his hometown. He would put so much effort into it- emoticons and all! The man really loved weather.

He made his mark in the local weather community and won't be forgotten here. Rest in peace.

RIP Mr. Brantley.  You will be missed by all the Tennesseewx forum!  Maybe we could name a thread after him one day in his honor?

Dadgum...this news sucks.  He was a joy to behold...his affection for weather was infectious.  Thoughts of comfort for his family...

RIP.

I moved his record keeping thread that has always been like a piece of furniture decorating our forum years over to the hall of fame and infamy topic.  I kind of did this unilaterally but I assumed there would be no objections from the community. Considering his tenure here it just seemed appropriate.  I did lock it over there as it seemed like the best way to memorialize him.  If you want to share any words about him, here is the place.
