The same place he sees all those long-range severe weather outbreaks!  >:D

LOL

Both those runs are still accessible on WeatherBell on the meteogram and the closest temp I can find is low 90's way out in "move towards climo" land.

where do you see triple digit temps anywhere on the GFS? I don't see anything close anywhere nearby on the 0 or 6 z runs.

Saw several readings in the upper 30s out in the rural areas of west and middle TN this morning. Coworker reported seeing a bit of frost. Hopefully this will be the last morning I need to run the heat.

Looks possible that we make it out of May without any 90 degree days. I think we managed that last year also. First 90 degree day was in the first week of June.

Scary information I was told today by my TDOT connections.  The inspector of the Memphis bridge when saw the spilt and he saw it before even getting close to it. Called 911 immediately and I’d himself and asked that the bridge be closed immediately.  That it was an emergency and close to catastrophic failure.  They are now trying to figure out if they can get a barge under it to at least brace it safely while possible repairs are made.  There really is no easy answer to fix this bridge.  It is one of the main support beams.  Being in heavy construction industry.  I can tell you to safely get a barge under the bridge to brace it is nearly impossible with the amount of weight it would have to support. This could be a long time period or even longer if the bridge has to be completely demo.

Looking good as always, Weather Channel!

 ::rofl:: ::rofl::

You and I are some of the few people here who put practically ZERO stock in long range forecasts LOL....I find it odd that so many people still give it discussion time lol, its just bunk and crap , once in a while they get it right, but  even a broken clock is correct twice a day , and a blind pig can find an acorn :)

Those cracks were not reported in the most recent inspection before this one. Makes you wonder if the cold wave in February has anything to do with it as a stressor.

Good theory. Remember the deadly bridge collapse in Minneapolis several years ago? The state was actually renovating the bridge, and the extra weight of the construction gear made it worse…  ::wow::
