I think many folks around here also got the International Space Station in the same pics as the AB. Just realized that’s what the bright light was in the pic. It was clearly visible over TN for 7 minutes around 7pm. Bonus!

My cousin also got a good shot of Starlink last night while taking pictures of the northern lights.

Lots of neat things in the heavens last night.

[ Guests cannot view attachments ] It was hard to get away from the city lights, but we found a spot on Old Hickory Lake. I could see the auroras once my eyes adjusted. They still didn’t get very bright, but in the photos I took, they look amazing.

From what I’ve read 9:30 pm to 2 am is the best time to look for the aurora. Good chance again tonight to see it.

It doesn’t seem much happened last night. People I know who were super bummed to have missed it on Friday night tried hard to see it and stayed up or got up at 4:00 AM. There had been word that another G5 was possible then, but apparently nothing to see this time.

I stayed up (for a while) last night, and checked my cameras this morning and nothing ever materialized. That said, 27 hours at with Kp8+ is worthy.
