One positive about this warmer pattern is that it looks to be potentially wetter as well, especially for areas in the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest that really need the rain.

Winter 2009-10 Snowfall: 11.5 in. :)
Winter 2010-11 Snowfall: 15.5 in. :)
Winter 2011-12: Trace
Winter 2012-2013: 0.25 in.
Winter 2013-14: 10.6 (9.5 on 2/12)
Winter 2014-2015: 10.25 in.
Winters 2015-2019: basically nothing
Winter 2019-2020:
2/8/20: 4.25

It sure did feel good. My truck said 51 on the way to work. Looks like a brief 4-5 day warm up this week and then cooling back off again.

the gfs couldn’t  sniff a fart out if it were within 7 days …. Trash model it is these days

40s showing up on the GFS in the long range.  ::yum::

That was September 3rd.

I think you might be a little butt hurt that it isn’t 99 degree and humid right now.

Yuk on the long range heat! September has been pretty good so far though. Time to start up a winter thread I think. Winter has at least the potential to be interesting.

I'm kind of enjoying this weather minus the complete lack of rain. Mornings are nice and the afternoons are pleasantly warm. Saving on the electric bill as well. A cold shot has been well advertised just at the end of this range for those looking forward to one more step down on the temperature ladder.
