Fame / Infamy
« on: August 10, 2023, 09:58:21 AM »
Please nominate any notable events from the Winter Weather or Severe weather sub forums to be moved to the fault.  These should be major events only, unless something significantly scientifically interesting happened as well. If you just want to name the dates here I will search for the thread myself.  I will let this thread go a few weeks before taking action because I know not as many people get on as often in the summer.

And no I am not moving the offtopic COVID 19 thread there, though it was certainly infamous among the mod squad.  ::rofl::

Well since we would call sunny days weather I think the solar eclipse event is a pretty big event at least for my area since there wont ever be another one here for the next hundred years lol. Also the March 2020 tornado was pretty big locally and of course the May 2010 flood.
1. solar eclipse 2017 event
2. March 2020 tornado
3. May 2010 flood

Just finished reading about Maui’s disaster.  It seems climate change and a hurricane caused that one.  Over 36 people lost their lives.

Still safely hidden in the dusty vault out of public view, that one.  ;)

Here are the events we have.

We have 4/27/2011, March 2020, and Super Tuesday on the severe side and Jan 2010 and March 2008 for instance on the winter side.

I moved the solar eclipse thread. I could not find the 2010 flood thread though I looked. Link me to it and I will move it.  3/2020 is already in the vault.

2010 flood thread was already moved. I just updated the title with May 2010 for easier recognition.
