It seems increasingly likely that New England will have wind, rain, and surf impacts from Hurricane Lee, but it would have to be to the far left of the cone to actually make any landfall. Still worth watching, but thankfully not looking like a landfalling major hurricane anywhere.

It's all quiet on the western front, and Nigel is a bona-fide fish storm. Per the NHC, a classic Cape Verde tropical wave is likely to organize into a depression by the end of this week. If it materializes, the eastern Caribbean islands may be in its path.
