Hopefully it won’t. I believe Joyner said 35 states currently use mesonet and 3 more just got funding for it so 38 states will be using it. If you have time give it a listen! It’s used for many things besides wind and rain!

If anyone is wondering what a mesonet site looks like, here is New York's. It's extremely useful. There are all kinds of cool things on here like insolation, snow-water equivalent, and atmospheric lidar data to name a few.

As of 4/18, the bill was taken off notice in the House and the sponsor must re-calendar it. My legal knowledge is not proficient, so correct me if I am wrong.
