Wind and brief hail storm stripped off the dead leaves off our holly tree, which was fried by the pre-Christmas flash freeze. It is bare now. Hope new green leaves come back.
Check some twigs; they should still gently bend and gently nick the bark on some finger-sized branches.  You should see green just below the surface.

Quite a bit of needle damage is now showing up on ornamental conifers, especially cryptomerias and Leyland cypresses.  That is worrisome.
Hire the left-handed --- its fun to watch them write.

What is even more sad is this was in an enhanced risk level area. That supercell in Georgia means business. The storm in Alabama near the border looks healthy too.

Sounds like we may have had a tornado cross highway 58 in Meigs county near Decatur. Lots of trees down and some structural damage reported.
This did get confirmed as an EF0. Only 0.57 miles in length and 150 yards in width. Quick spin-up.
Winter 2009-10 Snowfall: 11.5 in. :)
Winter 2010-11 Snowfall: 15.5 in. :)
Winter 2011-12: Trace
Winter 2012-2013: 0.25 in.
Winter 2013-14: 10.6 (9.5 on 2/12)
Winter 2014-2015: 10.25 in.
Winters 2015-2019: basically nothing
Winter 2019-2020:
2/8/20: 4.25
