These coolish nights would have been a no way.  Even at 80 degrees during the day having lows in the upper 40s/low 50s will cause that pool to be chilly. Water heats up slower than land does.

I was gonna say let’s not get too carried away. Unless a pool is heated it starts to get uncomfortable very quick once nighttime temps drop below 60, even in the summer when daytime highs are hotter and there is more humidity to lock in the water’s warmth.

Lol who puts away clothes by season? Lol mine all stay in the same dresser and closet year round.

I don't even put mine in the dresser half the time and they just stay piled up in the laundry room like I am 18 years old still.

Like our chances in December this year. I think we’re gonna have a pretty sharp cool down toward the end of November. Would be nice to have a White Christmas.

Always wanted a real white christmas here .... last one I had was when i was visiting family in Jersey. Started snowing in the morning on christmas day and ended up with 5-7 on the ground. Was awesome.

I feel like a lot of the eastern half of TN got one in 2020 minus the Chattanooga snow dome. Beyond that the only one I can remember is 2010.

Analog sets suggest something similar to my idea of a cold central with mild to warm zones in the Southwest and Northeast/East Coast.

This is not a clear-cut ENSO year and several factors appear to be in more of a flux so, unlike last winter, analogs may be pretty ineffective.

Two years ago we had 7 inches of snow on the ground Christmas Day with a high of 19 in Johnson City. Pretty awesome

SST comparison anyone? Nov 2017 and Nov 2022 (now) are identical. Nov 2020 is a close second. Should be interesting to see how the PV behaves. It split in Dec 2017 and Jan 2021. Right now, its elongated with a huge lobe over Greenland which will keeps cold air near or close by.

We haven’t had a white Christmas in middle Tennessee is some time. East Tennessee did, but it’s been a while for most of us.

I'm owed another one in East Tennessee. It fell on Christmas Eve while I was incredibly sick with Covid and Christmas morning I got admitted to the hospital. I fortunately did very well and fully recovered, but I still missed out on being able to really enjoy an amazing white Christmas. We also have a family friend with us this year who will be celebrating her first Christmas in the United States. Coming from India it would definitely be her first white Christmas!

some of us go through this every christmas period, we all want a white christmas it just puts anyone into the christmas spirit of course. but lets be honest, we just dont live at a good area for that to take place outside the mountains. but we can always dream of one i guess
