I’m not cut out for this kind of weather. Anyone else get irrationally irritable when it gets this hot? 😂
Indeed. This was yet another reason I moved from S. Florida 2+ decades ago. Nothing worse than needing a shower after you just showered.

Would you look at this by the CPC.

This is actually fairly plausible if we get our ridge to build a bit more westward and connect with the Western Canadian ridging. You would set up a solid +PNA pattern that would support at least occasional trough play in the Eastern USA.

I have always heard crime spikes in hot weather, especially violent crime. I think it brings out the worst in a lot of people.

I grew up on the Gulf Coast, and I totally understand. You don’t ever really dry off when you towel off!

Some pretty decent storms in Knoxville and the county tonight. We'll take every drop we can get.

If you are along and west of a Lafayette to Lynchburg TN line then tomorrow through Friday is going to suck.

Moisture pooling along a stalled out front, still dry ground for most, humidity, and a strong ridge means some absolute misery.

The sun setting behind storm clouds with the moon rising made for a pretty cool scene tonight.

I'd argue this is the hottest week thus far with the humidity. BNA hit 93/36 the week we broke 100F.

Typical for my luck yesterday- a storm with heavy rainfall formed to my west, and then one to my east- both produced downpours. But, they pulsed up and then dissipated… producing little more than sprinkles for me. It was even thundering. 😜

Today, tomorrow, and Friday (depending on when storms form) will probably rival the late July/early August 2011 heat wave in intensity.

Already nearing 100F heat index at Ft. Campbell as of 8:15am

These kind of days it is just better off to stay outside soaking wet in sweat than going in and out it seems.
