Was surprised to see mention of rain a couple days in my 5 day.

I love the fact that my grass is slowing down finally.  Maintaining yards is the biggest waste of money ever. Grass constantly is costing money to maintain.

I’ve been seeing landscapers trying to cut grass that hasn’t grown in two weeks or more. I guess they’re contractually obligated, but it’s hilarious. They run a mower over it for five minutes, then run their leaf blowers for 10-15 minutes and blow dust off the asphalt…

yeah I went  from a pretty green golf course looking lawn to more of a starting look brownish crunch look quick .

CFS v2 shows the heat ends next week and there’s even some significant below normal weather through mid July. Precip chances go back up as well. We may actually have a nice July 4th.

 OHX just announced they broke the record high for 6/22, 101F, at 2:44PM.

Clarksville and Tuscaloosa also hit 101, breaking their records, also.

We have escaped both heat waves without hitting triple digits here. 99 today. If my carrot weather app is to be believed, the heat has broken on this end of the state. Nothing over 92 in the extended.

It’s pretty obvious now the euro has a warm bias. It was supposed to be around 108-110 this time one week ago. No one will come close to that kind of heat albeit 102-103 not out of the question tomorrow and Sunday before the cold front. CFS v2 basically keeps the gross heat out west through early August. If it’s right, I hope we don’t switch to a early fall heat

TN has paid its dues for now. The next two weeks appear to be quite nice, with indication of several days BN among a few days in the 90s.

The High Plains and Southern Plains are going to be the primary regions for  temperatures.

It does look like even though July will be decidedly above average overall for our area, there will be enough brief breaks to prevent a 1980 or 2012 situation.  The tail end of July through Labor Day weekend may be a different story if we trust analogs.

Well things were going good even with the heat this past weak.  Then our girl got covid.  She was miserable last night but a little better today.  Did the home test and it popped up positive in 5 minutes this morning. We all are vaccinated.  Hub is re-doing the runway this summer in Portland TN.  He is really hoping he doesn’t get it.  I doubt we will have much of a July 4th either.  But it is what it is! Prayers please!  Thanks!!! 😵‍💫
