SVR warnings are starting to pop across NE TN tonight. It doesn't look like it will get south into the valley but there is a good bit going on.

We need this rain tonight/tomorrow and next week to pan out. Looks dry besides that and there has been an increasing number of grass fires starting lately around Tennessee. Some areas might of got lucky with the rains the past few weeks and are not doing to dry but some who have missed are probably in a slight drought which isn't good since normally we should be pretty waterlogged currently before the summer heat and dry spell hits hard. I will say this we have definitely been getting payback for all the wetness we had last year and year before.

I would prefer no rain friday sat and sunday   i cannot tell you how many times a tennessee memorial day weekend has been ruined by rain lol

These storms today are what one calls the proverbial “frog stranglers”. Looking for the main line tonight along the cold front with some heavy rain- followed by more heavy rain through mid week. Cool temps are the rule on the GFS for this week and again parts of next into early June.

These outflows literally kill the storms over and over around here. I guess because the storms get going and collapse from being to far from the forcing that kicked them up and then after that basically ruins the chances for storms. Then new ones form tomorrow probably east of us. Hopefully the models are wrong but they seemed to be pretty accurate as of late and if they are might not even get no rain this weekend. Sometimes outflows can be good for rain but other times they just kill any chance for it I guess there's reasonings behind it. I feel the air the past few weeks has been plenty humid and warm for decent afternoon storms but yet we haven't had any so I don't even know anymore because clearly I never did know how things worked.

Seems models was a little to quick to fizzle out the rain. Got hit by both rounds a little. Not nothing to crazy but a decent half inch. Better then nothing I guess.

I got .77", but the ground was so dry that it soaked it up like a sponge and some places in my yard are already dry. It barely had an impact on the water level in the creek in my back yard.

Still nothing here. We were supposed to be upper 70’s with a 90% chance of rain. Instead it’s almost 90 and zero rain. My sister did the half Ironman in town today. The run was miserable. Maybe things will break loose soon. There must have been a heckuva cap in place.

here in lewis county i am sure we got near 1.5 inches, had that initial burst of pre frontal storms the other day then the main line came through, then some more last night....we are in perfect shape here

well my friends, looks like our spring severe season once again was calmer than was predicted in our area which is not a bad thing ..... long range is just that, long range , nobody knows how things will pan out....i'm sure we will have our usual summer mcs type systems from time to time. I hope everybody has a great summer!!! Will check back in periodically . Time you fire up grills and jump in pools!
