I’ll take 60s and a light breeze all day every day. That’s perfect conditions to me 😂 (other than snow obviously)

60s is too cool. But probably better than the hellish heat Bruce wishes for!  :o

A Park City, UT/Flagstaff, AZ climate is the best.  Warm to hot and dry summers with cold and snowy to very snowy winters and enough of a transition season to make everyone happy.

You know we actually have a decent climate here....other than the humidity there is not much i would change....maybe a more consistent winter year to year .... but other than that and the humidity i love our weather...nothing like a cool crisp 40 degrees in the morning on a college football saturday in the fall! :)

I will tell you , you would be very surprised how hot muggy it is in the Jersey and NYC area in July and August....the most uncomfortable i have ever been was a 104 degree day in that area....concrete and asphalt everywhere makes it horrific

Yes, the humidity is bad here...but it could be worse. Georgia has to be the absolute worst place to live in the country, weather-wise. Well, idk, the Pacific NW might win that honor because of all the rain, but Georgia would definitely be a close second. Once you get out of the North Georgia mountains and until you get to the coast, it is literally **** on earth in the summer. Inland Florida isn't much better.

Agree to disagree on that one. West TN is way worse than the vast majority of Georgia humidity wise. Exceptions for the coastal plain and the SE swamps. Atlanta is actually cooler than most of TN in the summer due to elevation.

on the humidity, i think Louisiana has everybody beat....swamps everywhere

also summer humidity in iowa is impressive, with all of the corn fields they hit 80's in the dew points which would just be horrible!

I would say city center Houston is probably the worst because you combine long-lasting humidity with being in a major city with all those low albedo surfaces.  Also it is closer to the SW deserts than any other major Southeastern area so it catches a lot of heat from both Sonora and Bermuda influences.

Also, Iowa/Minnesota/Wisconsin can be brutal as well.  Minnesota reported an 88F dewpoint not long ago.

The absolute worst place on the planet for heat/humidity is the Persian Gulf area. The world record dewpoint of (95F) and record heat index (178F) occurred in this area.

Yep the iowa region regularly sees low to mid 80 dew points every summer....91 was recorded a few times there, i could not even imagine.....at 70 i am ready to throw a fit lol

I hope it rains soon. When we go this long without rain I start to get nervous about Georgia invading to steal our river water. They miss being able to tap Nickajack reservoir by about 200 yards. They’ve tried legal avenues to redraw the state lines in the past. Someone once wrote a satirical piece about war tactics for a theoretical water war in the Chattanooga area that mimicked civil war battles. Wish I could find it now. It was fascinating.

I've lived in most of the places being debated. Louisiana wins for crappiest summer weather, hands down. Absolutely brutal. I'm going back down for a couple weeks next month and dreading it. I got used to it when I lived there, but I've grown soft in my time away. I'm also older  :P

Yesterday was the earliest 97 at KMEM since 1911. Gross. I'm sure the heat index was off the chain at some point yesterday. MJO in Phase 6 which is raging heat during May-Jul. Its moving to 7-8 next which is much cooler. Yes please.

I am very thankful for the much needed rain this afternoon.  Even some minor flash flooding here.  Easily over an inch of rain.  This evening is perfect temps.  Great evening sitting on the screen porch.
