The SPC mentions a supercell event is possible in the Ozarks on Sunday.  May have to watch Sunday Night to make sure nothing treks into far western KY/TN but instability should be much weaker and the storms would have lined up by then.

The lingering lighting was incredible watching from downtown. It went on for a solid hour or longer. Those storms really went electrical as they moved in/through the Blue Ridge Mtns.

We do have a severe threat tonight for areas along and west of US 79 and again tomorrow across East TN.

The main threat will be damaging winds although a tornado cannot be ruled out in West TN tonight and possibly NE TN tomorrow.

Sadly a large tornado is on the ground and has hit Chester IL and still on ground.  Catastrophic damage the wx service is saying.  Another large wedge in Perryville MO.
Watching coverage there.  When it’s a confirmed tornado on ground.  Their polygon turns purple.  Still red polygon if radar indicated.
That’s a great idea!

I think that indicates a NWS-issued Tornado Emergency

I will say- this weather has been great for post-seeding/aeration lawn watering. I hadn't had to do much of that with bouts of rain every three days or so. There have been recent years with unseasonably warm and dry weather at this time where I have to diligently move the hoses and sprinklers around the yard to help the new seed germinate and keep the sprouts from drying out and dying. It's been a nice reprieve on the water bill and just the trouble of doing that. I'm too cheap to install an in-ground sprinkler system.  ::twocents::
