It’s interesting that the remnants of Ida tracked right across TN with fairly little fanfare to then later produce the impacts the Northeast has suffered.

The cold front and IDA together played a part in that I think.

Coupled with a 130kt upper level jet.

Up to 40 dead in northeast. That's more than Louisiana by a lot. That's almost completely unbelievable. This name will definitely be another retired I.

That’s what I was afraid of; another Camille-type situation. Camille did a lot of damage on the Gulf Coast, but killed many more with flash floods in the Northeast.
