Looking on Google maps and it looks like HWY 70 between Waverly and McEwen has numerous flooded roadways. Also the entire town of Waverly looks to be closed off. Wow

We drove through that area on I-40 W right at the height of it this morning. Let me tell you it was harrowing. The amazing thing is we drove though the back edge of the rain about the TN River. By the time we were around Camden, the pavement was dry. That was an intense drive, and I noticed flooding off the side of the side of the interstate in several places.

Just didn’t realize the magnitude of it and that Waverly was affected so severely.

Nearly every structure in Waverly to McEwen was likely impacted in some way by flooding.

I hope all is well with y'all. I hate to hear about this right now. I'm checking on my family often to see how they're doing. The brunt of it missed them to the west.

Unreal out in Waverly. No place can handle 17 inches, but Waverly is in that valley and it must have been a nightmare.

That whole area is about to get round 2, too. ****.

Some of the helicopter shots look like the aftermath of a tsunami. Just insane. And it’s storming again there right now.

This is horrible. The loss of life & property damage is terrible. It seems like each day brings something else bad.

Waverly is a complete mess. Unlike the normal flooding we get, this flash flooding was all in the swiftwater class. A lot of folks brought boats, and we had 2 get taken down stream. It is some of the worst damage I have seen outside of a tornado.
