Wow- very clear funnel for a few seconds there. You should send/report this to the NWS.

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Smith County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northern De Kalb County in Middle Tennessee...
  Southwestern Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 800 AM CDT.

* At 726 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles northwest of Smithville, moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Smithville around 735 AM CDT.
  Baxter around 745 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Center
Hill Lake, Dowelltown, Edgar Evans State Park and Liberty.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 264 and 279.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

Major wind damage in Lake and Obion counties. Multiple main roads closed with powerlines on them. One factory with major damage in Union City.

sun poking out here, wonder if we can get a trigger to redevelop later today when cape rises to 1,500-2,000

MEG seems to disagree with SPC ... The combination of all
three will support a "healthy tornado" risk as well as large hail
and damaging winds.

The sun is out here in Humboldt. Warm and muggy as heck. I would not doubt MEG is right. I need to go get all the downed tree limbs out of my yard before this next batch arrives.

We're under the second STW in Knox County in about 6 hours. I was really expecting the action to be further west of us as it usually is but it seems we're going to have some excitement out of this one. Radar looks like there will be plenty more coming.

IDK, seems like storm initiation is happening pretty early in northern mississippi, we are not unstable yet here, wonder what that does to afternoon storm threat
