i would be much more comfortable with a sleetstorm as opposed to freezing rain, , as long as that freezing rain line doesn't hit me i am ok with ut

12z EPS mean came in colder at 850 vs yesterday's 12z run. Cheering this on if for nothing else than to at least avoid a major ice storm for my area.

850s still look unchanged.

Looking at total accumulated precip, using the I-65 corridor as a baseline, .6-.9 qpf falls as sleet.  Using a quick 3:1 ratio, that's 2-3" of sleet.   :o :o :o :o

That much sleet is no bueno. IF these maps were to verify, that's a good chunk of the metro population in a high IP zone. No thanks.

Side note: I remember driving in Clarksville March 2014 in 6" of sleet. Crazy to think that would have translated to 12-18" of snow had the 850's cooperated. What an odd duck, snowdome of a winter that was.

Which means you'd push all-in with 7-2 off, and a call in the big blind with Aces, followed by a shove after the flop.  Got it.
An Tran tried to call my preflop raise from the button once.  He smooth called with aces.  Check-push.... I'd flopped top set with TT.... he was kinda unhappy because I had him slightly covered.

Put on my big snow boots and
I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the freezing rain

Snow up high
Won't you pour down over me
Yeah, I got some accretion
But I'm as blue as a boy can be

Winter Storm Watch hoisted for all of the Fort Worth & Norman CWAs. Norman going with almost their entire CWA with 8-12"+ and the chances for DFW itself to see 4"+ is almost 50/50 already.

This may be one of the single biggest winter storms to remember in many, many years.

I think duration will be beneficial to those in the ZR zone. It looks like relatively short lived intense precip. Not ideal for accretion. I
Winter 2009-10 Snowfall: 11.5 in. :)
Winter 2010-11 Snowfall: 15.5 in. :)
Winter 2011-12: Trace
Winter 2012-2013: 0.25 in.
Winter 2013-14: 10.6 (9.5 on 2/12)
Winter 2014-2015: 10.25 in.
Winters 2015-2019: basically nothing
Winter 2019-2020:
2/8/20: 4.25

I've never seen it published but I'm curious as to the MEG criteria is for issuing PDS winter products.
