Elevation played a critical role in who got what on my side.  We sit at about ~1000' and got a good 3/4".  Coming down the Hwy 70 hill into Woodbury this morning, you could definitely see a huge difference in accums.  Some folks got squadoosh.  Clear delineation of where the freezing level was.  Pretty kewl.

Elevation and location and precip intensity. I was basically on the northern edge of the precip shield here on the Davidson/ Williamson border. Parents live off sneed and I life of hwy 100. Mix here but mostly rain with a temp around 37F during the event. Parents 36F with 900ft on top of the hill on Sneed sitting at 34F but with light snow falling. 900ft was that magic number but it did not help if you were not under enough precipitation that started to falls as snow. I think these jackpot zones were just cold enough based on elevation and positioned in a area that started off with some snowfall and really never changed back as rates were moderate to heavy most of the time. Lots of bright banding in areas that were gettin rainfall. Large lakes aloft lighting it up for sure.

Last night was certainly interesting. Nothing in White Bluff/off MM 182 off I-40. However, if you kept driving into downtown Fairview, past the Walmart towards 840, you could see the accumulations pick up. I'm guessing 1/2-3/4" in this area as of 8:30/9:00 pm last night. Interestingly, there was hardly anything by the 'Welcome to Fairview' sign closer to the 96/100 split. Cold core lows are something else.

Looks like 1800' was the cutoff here. Those on Signal and Lookout got a couple of inches. Cold rain in the valley.

Bust in the East Tn Valley. Surrounding (elevation) areas did good. Rain/Snow mix all day long here in Northern Valley.

On to Monday’s system!

Same for Lenoir City. The central valley warm nose (or maybe it's a middle finger) struck again. Only cold rain here.

Had a slushy mixture here all day.  Wintry mess, I think it's called.  Never stuck except on the top of the car occasionally.  It never got above 35.

It was a bust, but I can't fault MRX.  I sure didn't want the job of trying to figure out this forecast and broadcasting it.  ::bagoverhead::

ohx got it right for once as in the now casted, however it took them a while and local mets as well were saying it was raining even at 4 pm , but it had been snowing here for over an hour so it just took them a bit longer to catch on, but to their credit they did

Snowfall reports. 3.5" reported 4 miles SW of Leiper's Fork in Williamson County, pretty close to my house. This was a very beautiful, unexpected snowfall.

Woke up to a little coating of snow on the cars and deck railings.  Around dark last night, a decent snow shower dropped some big flakes for a short time.  The last gasp of the ULL departing.
