This winter sucks although not to the level of last winter or 2011-12 but is probably 3rd or 4th if we don't pull a miracle.  I can't wait till I actually have free time and I can write about Western KY and TN getting 3 feet of snow even though it is impossible it is the best we can do nowadays.

Got a ways to go and I have faith but so far at my location this winter is worse than the last two when it comes to snowfall.

Nashville has always been pretty good at being a "snow globe" type place. Wasn't it just a few years ago that Nashville had a run of something like 15-20 "events" over a several year period with nothing over an inch?? Of course, areas in all directions from the Nashville Basin had multiple 1"+ events during that stretch.

Areas of elevation and East TN have had a much deserving Winter. It is actually quite snowy in the Smokies for once. Balance is needed, we will survive and soon will be enjoying a blanket of snow. When I just dont know.

I lived in W.Nashville when my kids were born.  We use to get so much snow back then.  Then when we were in Kingston Springs for 15 years we got quite a few deep snows then too.  It seems like forever since we have even seen 3 inches.  I am in the fb group West Nashville TN memories and there are quite a lot of deep snows there too especially in the 80s.  Maybe one day we will get a decent snow.

I was born in '83 so I remember some of the snowfalls as a child. Then the good Ice storm we had in the 90's in Nasville. Then I missed 2003 I believe .... Fortunately I have made up for it in the fortune of my travels.
