Bring it.

We went to the Southwest (Arizona) last week for a few days. Selfishly, I was glad I didn't miss out on the early taste of autumn after all, when it didn't quite pan out as progged. It's high time for that traditional mid-late September change of air mass.

Curt, I hope you didn't jinx it again.  Seems after this Sunday things are trending warmer again, showing 80+ each day thereafter.  Granted at least it isn't 90+

we always get periods of cool down followed by warm up but like you said at least it's not looking like 90's like the past 3 years

Ah, next week's warmup doesn't look too severe nor long-lived. The GFS (yeah I know) is consistently advertising a nice shot of cold air around 9/24-9/25.

There's been a tendency in recent years even after some sort of September cooldown for 90 degree days to come roaring back and slap us in the face in early October. Maybe/hopefully that doesn't happen this year... but, I won't at all be surprised if it does.

Good lord let me off the hook please. Weather gonna weather. the weekend looks great. Past that I look at the Ensembles- not any ops runs. The Euro ENS warms temps back into the low 80's. The GFS never leaves the 70's and actually has a major cool down towards the tail end. Split the difference and you probably have reality.

Meh NiŮo 3.4 is at negative 0.9...still weak. All modeling shows itís about to bottom out and slowly come back up. Eastern pac is much colder than West Pac.
