Lol!  I just posted on WSMV’s Lisa Spencers Live fb page that “I was ready for heat and humidity please!”   She read it out loud and laughed and said “it’s coming Beth.”  I sure hope so! 😍

Lisa Spencer's heat bias is one of the main reasons I don't watch WSMV anymore. Paul Heggen leaving was #1. Glad someone likes humidity.  I, like many, are not cut out for it which is why summer is by far my least favorite season.

Even if we escape the upcoming sequence unscathed severe wise I will still appreciate this year for actually having a spring.  The only complaint one could have is that we have had a few too many gray days, but as Jaycee said next time we have to deal with the drought we will be wishing for those.

I have zero data to back this up, but it does seem the midsouth has been in a severe weather drought over the past few years with just a handful of notable MCS events.  Grumble grumble!

I think our area is in a relative severe weather lull similar to the end of the 70s and the 80s. 

It seems like we go through active periods (the 1960s to the mid-1970s and the mid-1990s to the early 2010s) and these lull periods overall.
