It looks like a chilly, sunny day perfect for Thanksgiving in East Tennessee. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

The wording I read was that there would be 60mph winds and possible severe storms tonight for most of West middle Tennessee.   But it must be going to hit your area during the day?

here is my spc issue....they really play a big part in complacency as far as people paying attention to "tornado watches" during lines of storms like this.
I agree with James Spann use a severe t storm watch and mention the possibility of a spin up tornado or two.
Tornado watches are overused in these situations....just my opinion, I can see where the public feels like it is crying wolf....

I agree!  But as sure if they did not post a watch then we would have several tornadoes.

With the showers that passed through this morning, we have received exactly 67.00 inches of rain IMBY since January 1.   ::drowning::
Hire the left-handed --- its fun to watch them write.

ATTENTION ALL WILLIAMSON COUNTY RESIDENTS

I just drove south of Franklin through Southall and Leipers Fork. Flash flooding has occurred in this area. Although the roads were passable, I would advise against driving right now. Water was higher than what seemed like 6 inches in some spots along Southall Road.

Mill Creek is flooding Bluff Rd. just off Nolensville Pk. near the Williamson Co line as well. FD had firetrucks blocking the road. Keep an eye out tonight.

Ah yes . . . the best 2 weeks of the year.
Just for fun, I'll note that the forum on this 2 weeks ran from August 4 to December 1 and took up 39 pages  ::applause::
Thanks to everybody for all the contributions and good luck to all on a winter with more snows for the whole board!
