I think everyone was already done with the political piece of this a couple days ago. I know I am. Knock yourself out if you want to though.

I will say a quick comment.  What was the alternative to Trump.  Think of where this Nation would be if he had not won.  This next election will be either another 4 years we survive or its over.  If a socialist wins then get ready for war in the US.  The whole political system is a disease.  Both parties are liars and cheats.  Trump runs his mouth but the press and socialist spew the hate worse against him as president than any other before.

Can we please shut down this political sh*t already? At the very least, create another thread for political talk and move those posts there. I understand that the POTUS was directly involved with a NOAA forecast which fomented political discussion on a weather forum, but we've beaten that topic to death. Everyone has gotten their two cents in by now.

Let's please refrain from the political blatherings and get back to discussing weather and climate.

ETA: I just realized that this was in the Dorian thread, so as long as this remains in here, I don't really have an issue with it.

I hate politics because it is so touchy and toxic as of late. I just have to say that there really is no defending this guy no matter how you try to mash it together into a cohesive unit and attempt to spin it. He is one of the most "blatantly" corrupt Presidents we have ever had. I place attention on the word blatantly.  If Sanders were to get elected, we are screwed. I can agree on that front. It does not matter who gets elected tbh. What ever person inherits the mess he has left deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for cleaning it up. Our country will heal in time, that is a guarantee. This too shall pass...
