One day of interesting weather tomorrow before we go back to status quo.

Quote
Because of this, expect a line of thunderstorms to develop
along the cold front or prefrontal trough in SE KY late Tuesday
afternoon and move southeastward into the forecast area between 6PM
and Midnight Tuesday night; however, still have low confidence on
exact timing 36-48 hours from the potential convective event. With
the thermodynamic and kinematic environment in place across the
forecast area, a multicell line of thunderstorms is most likely with
damaging winds the primary hazard. In addition, with PW values
increasing to between 2.0 and 2.2 inches ahead of the front, heavy
rain rates are likely with thunderstorms resulting in the potential
for isolated flash flooding. For any additional details, please see
the SPC Day 2 CWO and WPC Day 2 ERO.

What's not to love about being wrapped up in a hot, wet, wool blanket?    :P

just interested, what is the nws Nashville criteria for excessive heat warning?
We are surrounded by it but not in it...just the heat advisory (which is bad enough lol)

I hope this was the warmest morning of the summer.  ::hot::  First time that it hasn't felt at least pleasant even a bit cool at daylight.

My morning run was more of a swim today. 77 with 99% humidity. We've actually been pretty lucky with the morning temperatures up to this point. I've had way more mornings in the 60's than the 70's. This is the first morning in the upper 70's.

Iíve already seen 2-3 outflow boundaries push through at least the northern half of I-40 this morning around Nashville on radar. Wonít take much for things to fire this afternoon. Also wasnít expecting this much of a cloud deck to be in place already either.

The answer to the question asked in the OP for today is definitely "to sweat."

Not even 11:00 AM, and BNA is reporting 91 degrees at 61% RH (DP 76). ::hot::
