I won't even give this winter a grade... didn't even deserve to be admitted to the university. It was only here by Lori Loughlin's schemes.

South-Central KY adjacent parts of Northern Middle TN:

- Between 3 to 4 inches of snow for the year (about 40% of average)

- Having large parts of Southern and Southeastern TN get absolutely shut-out.

- Watching Las Vegas, Paradise, CA, and Tucson, AZ get more snow than anyone south of I-40.

- All the hype and potential (myself included)

- Getting the cold on our side of the Globe only to see it never make it here due to the Southeastern Ridge and unusually warm Atlantic temperatures.

- The absolutely unnecessary amount of rain

The only shining points of this winter include the Desert SW getting needed rain, that one decent blowing snow event in January, and a few see you tonight but gone by tomorrow icing events.

FINAL GRADE (using the traditional 10s scale):
61/D

It is only a D because of that semi-interesting 1-2 inch blowing snow event I got in January.  Without that it is a solid F>

not happening this spring ... this week looks like the coolest in sight .... then we should have our typical cool down behind big systems ....

Yeah... donít speak too soon. The 0Z runs were advertising a return to cold pattern in the long range.

I personally hope youíre right. But, experience tells me otherwise.

I'd say more of the fault lies with the rich, entitled parents and the coaches who let them play the game.  What a thing to teach your child--cheat to win.  Or is it the golden rule?  Whoever has the gold makes (or breaks) the rules.

Anything shown in LR will not happen.  Models have been saying cold in LR even in MR for several months to never materialize.  My bet is same ole will happen.  It will be much warmer when it gets with in 3-5 days.  I read where the models where way off on temps.  Especially the further out they went.  Cold bias they are.  They have joined the CMC in being cold bias.  Robo model is a complete train wreck.  Even if slightly cooler wx in April no complaints from me.  I will take 60ís and sunshine.  Now Bruce might complain. 😂

Iím not sure, but this might be the longest stretch of consecutive frosts Iíve seen all winter. Itís been frosty here every morning since at least Saturday.

Spring Equinox is today at 4:58 PM CDT.

I thought the same thing as I was scraping my car windows. We probably had more frost in March than February.

Air is getting a bit more dew pointer-y.  Return flow, FTW.

The Clarksville area may have received a inch of combined snow this year. The 2 early minor ice events combined with most experts long range outlooks had most of us excited about what looked like the best chance for a great winter in many years. But you never know what curveball is going to happen in Tennessee winters. But no doubt about it, this year was a F for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area. Combined with what was expected, I have just moved on from it. Hope better winters are ahead nobody knows, climate change be damned paid off scientist nobody knows CHIT. But I will be here late next fall ready to ride with winter again. Now on to spring for mowing, landscaping and fishing and mushroom and arrowhead hunting. Everyone have a great spring and summer, I will pop in time to time or when severe is knocking at my door. Have a blast guys, our weather board rocks even in bad winters! ::popcorn:: ::guitar:: ::snowman::

Winter lives! Looks like a mix of snow/sleet will impact the higher terrain in East tn. US 441 will likely be effected and closed. Good time to hike up rainbow falls or bullhead from the lower terrain. Yay :)

Not just locked, but doused with gasoline and incinerated, its ashes dumped at sea.

good riddance to the worst winter in my lifetime as far as snow....only trace amount of flurries twice and THAT WAS IT.
And to everybody who got mad at me for saying I was being negative for not believing in winter forecasts more than 5 days out.....well never mind, I won't go there lol

Hopefully next winter is great and we all get at least ONE inch of snow LOL
