Some beautiful pictures coming out of Middle TN...congratulations. Well overdue. Enjoy it!

Meanwhile, in the snow desert of Memphis (haha), another moderate band has set up across the river and looks to push into Shelby/DeSoto over the next hour or two. Not sure what the precip type is but can assume snow. If so, may drop a quick half inch.

We are the parched man in a desert at the end of a long, skinny hose.  Will someone please turn the faucet on so we may drink?

Not sure but watching the radar and it looks to be building in extreme west tn. Maybe this will continue?

Would be a miracle bailout, that's for sure.

In the middle of the freezing rain

Snow up high
Won't you pour down over me
Yeah, I got some accretion

The radar returns and Chattanooga forecast are not syncing up at all. I don't get it

That snow band west of Nashville moving east could give you another inch before all is said and done.

I am getting close to 7" here close to Percy Warner Park... This latest band is really putting it down. Radar returns are not doing it justice . If you look at the radar the band has basically comes to a stop, with the back side building faster than it moves east. Amazing......

Hopefully that little band rotating around the Paducah area can pivot down my way. Looking like it may, unless it falls apart beforehand.

Snow and wind have picked up here significantly for the moment.  Maybe we can hang on to this for a bit.

I have about 2" just southwest of Lewisburg.
Maybe an inch up here so far and that's being generous.

Looks like there's some slight backbuilding in Stewart and Houston Co.

Snow continues to fall in Cookeville. Straight down heavy style (not shown in this picture)....amazing event. Some of our rural areas northeast of me will likely push a foot of accumulation.

Well, at least for Nashville, we'll be able to claim at least a statistically average winter for snowfall... with a lot of winter left to go.

Next one can belong to Memphis, although we won't refuse it here either.  ::snowman::
