Snowfall has picked up again in Nolensville... hopefully I can up my total... getting more solid coverage in the yard, although the grass is not yet covered.

I'm not sure what is going on. The point and click snow forecast is way up for parts of Lawrence, Giles, Maury, Marshall, and Rutherford counties???

Switched to all snow in Lewisburg.
You and others need to realize updating a graphic is much faster than updating pinpoint/zone forecasts in the system. That takes hours to refine and execute before being published to the public.

Rates have fallen slightly here, but snow is compacting a bit. Where I shoveled an 90 minutes ago probably has another 2 inches. But my total on unperturbed surfaces just went up 1 inch to 7 in that time.

I get that. I'm just curious why my snow forecast went from 1-3 to 3-7.

BTW, the Hytop radar indicates a very heavy band setting up along I-65 in AL up into se middle TN. Of course, I'm guessing its mostly rain there but lets see if we can get it to spin up this way a bit. Maybe that's why the NWS upped the snow totals down this way.

Snow beginning to accumulate in Lewisburg.

pouring snow again here in west Smyrna...might be getting close to 2 inches now, half of that in the last 30-40 minutes.

It sure looks like precip is expanding across southern middle TN and northern Alabama. Snow picking up in intensity in Lewisburg.

Snowfall intensifying here in Nolensville.  2" does look doable now... let's see what this activity pushing up from the south does.

Maybe we're seeing the advertised pivot.

The pivot is beginning as everything is starting to orient themselves in a more NNE-SSW formation.
