2 inches at my place. Greater than inch an hour rates.

I'm not kidding that I'm literally near tears. This will be more snow than I've seen at my house certainly since I was 12 (Jan 97 in memphis), and maybe since I was 3 (Jan 88 in memphis)

this is EPIC for BNA

Latest HRRR snow accumulation map.

It is beyond my comprehension that this storm could treat the valley like that.  Knoxville should not be getting nothing from this storm.  I hope Nash gets 7", but I hope the HRRR is wrong.

HRRR doesn't start moving the snow out of Nashville/I-65 corridor until 3 pm.

I got an email at 7:59 am saying that all state offices are now officially closed today. I think that decision should have been made much earlier. Many of the people stuck on the interstates now are probably state employees. Some of them may be critical to snow removal as well.
. My wife is one of them in Nashville.  She was already at work and now struggling to get home!

I think most on this board understand your pain, and the pure pleasure you're feeling right now.   ;)

I hope she makes it home! It ticks me off when they do stuff like this. They don't give their workers adequate notice.

Put on my big snow boots and
I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the freezing rain

Snow up high
Won't you pour down over me
Yeah, I got some accretion
But I'm as blue as a boy can be

Been snowing and sleeting off and on here... as advertised by some of the modeling, I'm on the accumulation gradient on the southeast side with just a coating so far.  Congrats on the more significant accumulations in town!

All snow here now. Been snowing softball sized... ok half dollar size flakes for about 15 minutes. Healthy dusting already. Hope it keeps it up and I don't fall back into the giant break to my west.
