We have switched back to rain/ip mix in Mount Juliet...I am hoping it goes back to all snow soon.

Nothing but snow and lots of it, here in Hendersonville! ::snowman::

Changeover occurred in Hopkinsville at 4am and we already have at least 1-2 inches.  I will get a measurement in about 45 minutes.

Memphis got the shaft. Little Rock did great and so will Nashville.

Yep. Unreal. I could see areas east doing well to our detriment but LR getting 6" and is getting nothing is just cruel. Literally every direction from here except maybe due south seemed to come out better.

Just stepped out to inspect the precip here on the north side of Nolensville... 70/30 snow/sleet.  Moderate to heavy rates.  Everything is turning white.

Can already see cars not being able to make it up a slight incline one street behind my house.

Total dud so far here in SE Shelby. Grass is barely white and radar trends are depressing. On to work it appears...

It does look like Memphis is already done.  Hard to believe- it all went downhill so quickly.

Put on my big snow boots and

Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the freezing rain

Snow up high
Won't you pour down over me
Yeah, I got some accretion
But I'm as blue as a boy can be

Come on dynamic cooling.  Get that sleet out of here.  I want the big one.  I don't want it eating into totals.

Oh well, we're used to it.

Give the short term models credit on this one. Several showed us hanging on to mixed precip longer and then the band nearly vanishing as energy moved east from 6-7 am. That's almost exactly what's happening. Our best window for QPF was 2-4 am when I was up earlier. Just didn't change over fast enough.

Its gotta be close to turning over for me.  I'm just to your east and still seeing mostly rain/ip.  The waiting game...
