MISSISSIPPI SHOULD START BY LATE FRIDAY MORNING SO HAVE ADJUSTED
THE START TIME OF THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FROM 6 PM CST TO 9
AM CST.

Light freezing rain is falling in Montgomery County, we are at 32.

Temps are even dropping here in SW Davidson County. PWS readying 33.5F and has been slowly dropping .

I would like to add thank goodness for this place.  The other place argued about the current location of the UUL for four pages.

I think the key in the difference in the HRRR vs the NAM (for instance) is the timing of the heaviest precip in the MEM metro. HRRR has it 9 to 12z then tapering off wuickly while NAM is 12z or later. The HRRR may be too fast to allow snow because the column hasn't cooled that early yet. Just a theory. We will see.....

All State Offices in West Tenn. (Shelby,Tipton, Lauderdale,Dyer,Lake,Fayette,Haywood,Crockett,Gibson,Obion,Hardeman,Madison,
Weakley,McNairy, Chester,Henderson,Carroll,Henry,Hardin,and Decatur Counties) are closed FRIDAY

All other State office STATEWIDE will be closing at 12pm.. Pretty big deal, that rarely happens. Guess Gov. Haslam is taking this seriously!!!

So what is everyone's thoughts on East TN, specifically Greene County? Is it looking more like a bust for this region due to the warm air and dry slots?

I do not believe our office will be closing.   They stated such.  I spoke with several people who are planning to drive into work like they typically would... I don't think the impact statements are getting through to most people.


While impact statements were good in theory,  I don't know that they translate into action they much.
