Freezing line is moving into NW Davidson County at 9 AM...this freezing line is quicker than what the 18z run had for Davidson.

I wish we had the chat right about now. Kevin or Trevor, any updated thoughts on MEM?

I just hope it shoves to the Boro quickly enough for us to get good total snowfall.

If Nam is right and we change over around 9-10am...it shows a lot of snow to come.   ::snowman::

How rare is that for a winter storm hours before it gets cranking?

My guess is due to the original timing in Middle TN, they are preparing for stranded drivers.  I am not sure though.

0Z NAM is just a classic trowel through the mid south. def some convective elements too. Winds still gusting to 40 in the Memphis metro at the height

Nice event for almost everyone. Don't fret about the Murfreesboro hole guys! Everyone around you has 2-3", so you can assume 2-3" in Murfreesboro on this run.

Going to assume the short term models are out to lunch on the thermal profile.

On to nowcasting. Precip really starting to blossom from Little Rock to Texarkana. Benton, AR, and a number of other stations SW of LZK are reporting snow.

Guys I left my work in Lyles, Tn (approx 45 miles west of Nashville) and my truck read 30 degrees and it was raining, this was 6:20pm. Got home in Spring Hill and it was 35 degrees and raining. Now understand there is about 250-275 feet in elevation difference. Is this gonna be the factor in the haves and have nots?

It is just dead set to set up the gradient over Davidson County.

Not sure if this has been discussed but with all the rain, brine would be pointless. Noticed while driving tonight that I didn't see any brine on Old Hickory in Brentwood. Anyone seen brine trucks out?

Yeah, and the 4km is even more cut throat with the gradient.
