Fwiw- 18z rgem total accumulations. East Arkansas looks left out but that's because it has precip as sleet not snow. Not sure that's correct but it's remotely possible

I think it does the same for that dot just north of Nashville.

Appreciate all the information.  Seen a lot on snowfall totals, how is the timing for middle tennessee looking?

Here is the wording from the NWS forecast:

Quote
Rain before noon, then rain and snow between noon and 3pm, then snow after 3pm.

18z COBB totals(and with very low snow ratios- prob a tad too low?)

Memphis- GFS 4 with sustained winds of 30 mph for several hours; NAM 3 inches sustained winds at 20-25

BNA GFS 0.7(wth) nam 6

MKL GFS 1. Nam 10.2

WSMV continues betting the under. Says all of Davidson Co gets 1"-2" by Saturday morning. Guess Ron Howe will call for a dusting on rooftops...

The watch/warning map is impressive:
http://www.weather.gov/

Although that lack of pink up into southern middle TN looks awful, and that RGEM pic up above is maddening with the mid TN snow hole.  ::bangingheadintowall::

Betting the under works well, until it doesn't. If your job is to warn people of probabilities... well......

Could be wrong but always thought the heaviest band will set up 30 miles on either side of a Oakland TN to Clarksville line

His map is actually realistic. 2-4" for Nashville with the 4-6" contour not far away.

Sitting at Cheddar's in Mount Juliet and Davis Nolan is at a table near me....shouldn't he be preparing for the impending Winter Storm?  HA!

Listening to the Nashville discussion on the NWS they act like the border counties will start out as freezing rain and sleet right out of the gate. But they act like things won't really amp up until around 4 or 5 for the NW part of middle tenn. I hope we all a good one this time! We are at 32 in CKV. ::fingerscrossed:: ::popcorn:: ::cold:: ::snowman::

Could I get a report on the knoxville area. Getting a lot of conflicting reports. Some saying around an inch some are saying up to 5 inches. What should we expect?
