Someone says it's caving to the gfs
Earth transforms sunlight's visible light energy into infrared light energy, which leaves Earth slowly because it is absorbed by greenhouse gases. When people produce greenhouse gases, energy leaves Earth even more slowly raising Earth's temperature. http://www.howglobalwarmingworks.org/

!!ATTENTION!!

Due to the significance of Friday's winter storm, with high usage of the forum, especially since chat is down, we request that off topic conversation and banter be restricted.   Basically, think before you post, ask yourself-  is it helpful, and does it convey useful information to others.  This thread has the potential to be fast paced with a lot of posts coming in, so let's all do our part to limit anything that isn't helpful, as much as possible.

Thank you and carry on.  ::flag::

Near 1" liquid equivalent along the I-40 corridor including the MEM metro. Surface temps start out marginal but I would think most/if not all of that is snow after 6-9z Friday. Good grief.

Nashville you're gonna love this run too. This is a generational storm for the forum as a whole...

Quite literally shaking right now. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more perfect scenario. It is too good to be true.
