This is not good. We are at 1/2 inch of ice and still moderate freezing rain with 30 mph wind gust.

I really keep thinking they may go with the blizzard warning prior to the morning commute.  Guidance looks like it's pretty much a justifiable call.

I think it would make a huge difference in keeping people home today.   Several people I spoke with were planning long commutes into work this morning.

Radar returns are filling in the gaps near Erin and Waverly. We are still at freezing rain and 31F. Ugh.

Yes,  but his power situation is going to remain vulnerable  as snow and more wind get added to the equation.

Yep. You are still looking at a solid, big snow. And this ice we are getting will just increase our troubles.

Ouch! Be prepared for lights out soon. 1/2" seems to be the breaking point for lots of bad stuff happening, especially with those winds.

Luckily we have the best electric company in the state. As of 3:45 we are changing to an icy snow.
