From looking at the path of the storms, is any of the strong tornadic storms going to make it into Nashville?  Looks like most are going to go east of Nashville.  Any development expected?

Dave Brown is calling the reports of damage and tornadoes in Jonesboro "ridiculous and confusing...no way a tornado is on the ground there"...

Cut his mic...what a disgrace.

New Tornado Watch for west TN (minus Shelby County) and west KY...pretty high probs. too.

70% chance of two tornadoes, 40% chance of a strong one...

Just 10-15 minutes ago, he had said that it was absolutely nothing but some heavy rainfall. They showed only having 4 lightning strikes.

If for some reason someone was injured or worse, his nonchalantless is inexcusable.

Jonesboro is a decent distance away from the radar site, so it may not be picked up.

Tornado watch West TN.

With the exception of Shelby County...I see what Fayette was saying though I don't think I've ever had a tornado watch on three sides before....it's kind of funny being boxed in like that.

Put on my big snow boots and
I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the freezing rain

Snow up high
Won't you pour down over me
Yeah, I got some accretion
But I'm as blue as a boy can be

And now he just called the new watch "ridiculous"...he tossed back to the anchors because he doesn't consider the threat "worth continuing to cover"...

This guy can't be serious...can he? Get him off air WMC...he is the "ridiculous" one.

Still seeing storm growth across west TN...or is the radar being "ridiculous" too?

Shelby County is excluded.

Memphis is definately a blessed city when it comes to the tornadoes.  Maybe there's a scientific reason other than sheer luck.  I find it somewhat humorous, though.  People down in Oxford say the same thing and people in Tupelo are rarely hit but they know better b/c history tells a very different story.
