You need to quantify your statement.  What times?  What are the temps?  I think I read what you read and instead of using the 10:1 ratio, they were using a 6-8:1 ratio, which given it all falls as snow will be 6-8 inches.  Honestly, the only folks I believe see a foot are the folks in the mountains of NC and SC...not East TN.  Could I be wrong...sure, it's happened before.

well excuse me sorry! i was just saying what someone posted over there...should have been more specific! i will be more lenient on posting next time so i dont get blowed up. :) k thanks!

Well, when you post stuff like "East TN gets a FOOT" and not give a source...then you should expect to be called on it.  You've posted here long enough to know that.

Hard to determine right now.  The exact placement of the low will determine who gets what when.  Currently, as the models have it now, southern middle and east TN get the majority of the heavy stuff and western and northern middle will see less.  If I had to guess, I'd prolly say 1-3"...and even that might be exaggerated.

Latest EURO and GGEM (Canadian) looking better for snow in TN... will be interesting to see what the NAM and GFS do now.

18Z NAM showing greater QPF than 12Z run... Memphis area looking very interesting.  But, it still takes the best precip south of Middle and East TN.

18Z NAM shows West TN getting hammered

Wow...that little pocket looks wetter than it did this morning.  I believe the models might be trying to resolve some of their qpf issues they have had with more of the longer range runs.  As we get closer to the event, it seems as if the models' resolution is getting better in terms of qpf amounts.  That bodes very well for TN...all parts of TN.

Maybe it is just me but I don't think the models know exactly where the heavy precip will be.  I am hoping it is us!  I sure think we still got a pretty good chance of at least maybe a couple inches.  What do the rest of you think?

18Z NAM looks like quite a hit for north Alabama.

Dang...looking at the NAM's simulated radar, Mid TN/East TN get the shaft and West TN gets bombed.  I'm not buying the NAM yet.  It is only the 18z and the 18z runs are on crack anyway.
