2007-2008 Fall/Winter Readings
« on: October 11, 2007, 07:22:03 AM »
Here's a place to record any noteworthy temperatures, precipitation amounts, etc. you might have for this fall/winter season.  For me, I'll probably document season low temperatures as I record them.

I'll start off with what I recorded for this morning's low at my place:

42.3

That's the coolest temperature I've recorded so far for this young fall/winter season.  It is about 8 degrees below normal.  Normal low in Nashville for this date is 50.  The record low for this date is 29, set back in 1906.

36.3 was the temp at my place this morning, and it was nice. :D

Our normal low up here for this date is 43.

That's our lowest temp this season by about 9 degrees.

New season low for me this morning...

36.7

Also, I'm seeing frost on the rooftops, for the first time this season.

36 at my house when I left in the dark, 33 at the UT Ag Station.  Some good frost down in the hollers.

I had to scrape frost off my windshield this morning.  I looked at one gauge and it said 35' back at me...Frost on rooftops, did not notice any frost on the pumpkins that were purchased last night though. ;)

I read 37.0 this morning.  So, yesterday's season's low of 36.7 is safe for a while.  There is, once again, a little frost on the rooftops.  But, I don't think there is quite as much as there was yesterday morning.
