The front has passed through.  Look at the NWS radar loop:

Snow has stopped here, for now. I'm diligently watching the radar loop with hopefulness, trying to mentally PUSH that next band just a little further south!  ;D

I'm in southern Cheatham County now (just west of Nashville).  Very fine but fairly heavy snow has been falling and sticking here over the last half an hour.  We've picked up a dusting here again.  Winds are also increasing.  Presumably, we're behind the front now.

We have around 1.5 inches here on the northern Plateau, making this our biggest snow of 2007 (which is a little ridiculous :D).

Hope no one is planning on going out on the highways tonight! I-65 is closed in Robertson Co Northbound and I440 at I40 W is closed due to accidents. Roads are slick!

We've got 3 inches and counting here in Baxter (Western Putnam County) and it is still coming down. Loving it!

Sure is cold outside.
Don't quite know why when there's a little snow on the ground it feels colder than when its 17 like the other nite.

(Renee... that's the wind chill factor you're feeling... that's the difference... it's blustery out tonight!)

If you have to get out tonight or early in the morning... BE CAREFUL!

I just got in, and it is seriously icy.

Reduce speed, and leave penty of distance between you and the car in front on you.  Brakes don't quite work the same in these conditions.  If you think you can come to a complete stop on a dime... you may be in for a rude awakening.

We wound up with just a touch over 4 inches. Not too bad for a clipper system.

Congratulations, Crocket.  That's a nice accumulation.

Sometimes, I think about moving up on the Plateau to get just a little more snow.

*sigh*

Hey Gang:

******  3.5 inches here in Northeast Cookeville *****

******  4 inches in Algood...just NE of me ******

Waiting on a couple more folks to get me measurements from their locations.  Heard a 6" measurement over near Jamestown in Fentress County (very northern Plateau)...don't have verification of that just yet...

It's now cloudy and 31 degrees at 2:20 in the afternoon.

I've posted some nice snow pictures over at my blog..
