Already below 31 at 9 p.m.  We're headed into the deep freeze tonight.

Down to 26.0 this morning at first light.  Cars and roofs covered in frost.  2018 growing season is now in the past.

I saw 19 reported in Marshall County this morning (in south central TN).

We dropped to 20F out here in Lascassas… the coldest temperature since late January for us. ::cold::

My better half has decided that we (I) will string Christmas lights on the house this afternoon.  I will be counting every degree of the predicted warmup.

The lights will NOT be turned on yet.

I guess that 19 I saw reported was correct then.  Some really cold temperatures overnight under clear, calm skies.

Sun is up, but temperatures have only responded grudgingly.  Up to 28 from the earlier 26.

I had 21 on the hill. Saw 19 on the hourly obs for Lewisburg. Based on past experience it is legit.

Earth transforms sunlight's visible light energy into infrared light energy, which leaves Earth slowly because it is absorbed by greenhouse gases. When people produce greenhouse gases, energy leaves Earth even more slowly – raising Earth's temperature. http://www.howglobalwarmingworks.org/

Pictures coming in of the “frost flower” event this morning, including in this post from the NWS Nashville: https://www.facebook.com/121353247940968/posts/1962653380477603/

Look for some this morning if you have a chance... but, be sure to bundle up! ::cold::

MEG mentioned it this morning. Could be the best shot this upcoming week.

Surprisingly there is really good agreement between the GFS and Euro on the ULL mid week. Looks like SE Missouri is the sweet spot atm.

ULL is a weatherman’s woe; it will have some cold air to work with if you’re on the NW side but will have to generate some of its own
