Please tell me it isnít going to rain Saturday evening. Iíll be at Ascend Ampitheater for Nine Inch Nails and Iíd prefer a dry evening since Iím sitting on the lawn.

Looks like it could easily rain another 2-3Ē overnight unless all that convection collapses. This could wind up being one of the wettest days weíve had in years. No flood watches out either. Iím a little surprised.

We'll see what the NWS recorded in the ol' rain gauge today, but I'm guessing that today officially made this the wettest September on record up here. I'm completely over this weather pattern.  ;D

Areas in the foothills east of Knoxville have yet to see a half inch of rain from this system.  Our heaviest rain looks to come Wednesday and Thursday as middle and west TN catch a break.

Total from 630 yesterday morning to 630 this morning was 5.90Ē. Wettest 24 hour period Iíve recorded since moving into my house in October 2013. It was still raining when I left for work as well. I tried to go for a run this morning between showers. That did not work. I poured about a half cup of water out of my running shoes when I finished.

Downward Spiral at Vandys Memorial Gym was the best show I ever saw. An then unknown Marilyn Manson opened followed by Jim Rose Freak Show. Then NIN. Epic. Enjoy and wish I was joining you!

yeah 12z euro builds the ridge right back in long range .... looks be steady dose mid 80s for some highs

The average high for Nashville on this date is still around 80. However, the average lows this time of year outside of the heat island should be down in the low to mid 50s. I'm ready for some of that.

OHX is forecasting upper 50s or near 60 for lows on a couple of mornings after the front clears tomorrow. 70s for highs on Thursday, but we're back in the 80s over the weekend.

The Euro says 5-6Ē more rain in the southern valley by Friday evening. Iím very surprised to not see any flood products out. I can guarantee flooding if half that much rain falls. My area is totally saturated.
Edit: seems somebody was listening. There is a hydrologic outlook out for SE TN now.

Let the Southeast Ridge have it's fun right now, then beat that sucker into submission come December.

Long range says no rest for the water logged...

A pretty amazing wet pattern occuring over much of the country in what is normally a drier time of the year.

Hopefully we will get good fall colors out of this.

Surprise, surprise HTX radar has had a hardware failure. I swear it has to be the least reliable radar in existence. It's possible to get coverage from FFC but rainfall estimates are usually off.
