Yesterday the forecast high for today was 78.  Already up to 84 with summertime humidity to boot.  Not a day to open the windows, as I had hoped.

If summer is anything like last winter, it will be hot until mid November, then turn cold.  Fall gets skipped over like spring.

I have confidence in predicting that fall weather will arrive before UT wins an SEC football game.  We'll most likely also see winter, spring, summer, and at least part of another fall....

Today certainly feels like a dreary fall day in Knoxville.  Even though it isn't that cool with the cloud cover and rain, and the forecast for the next several days, we may go all week without seeing the sun.  I'm glad for the break from the heat, but would rather have those beautiful fall days where it's cool and also sunny.

Well the models show nothing for tonight and mainly clear tomorrow so we get a little break before the front comes through. Although the news says mores coming tonight and tomorrow lol but even their model showed nothing.
Also, they was saying this has tropical rains and that theres lots of spin in the air and thats why we had that tornado form and to keep and eye out for more later since theres so much spin in the air. Like im so lost i thought this was just a stalled front. And the tornado was just a random one not because we had lots of spin in the air or nothing.

Looks like it could easily rain another 2-3 overnight unless all that convection collapses. This could wind up being one of the wettest days weve had in years. No flood watches out either. Im a little surprised.

We'll see what the NWS recorded in the ol' rain gauge today, but I'm guessing that today officially made this the wettest September on record up here. I'm completely over this weather pattern.  ;D

Areas in the foothills east of Knoxville have yet to see a half inch of rain from this system.  Our heaviest rain looks to come Wednesday and Thursday as middle and west TN catch a break.

Total from 630 yesterday morning to 630 this morning was 5.90. Wettest 24 hour period Ive recorded since moving into my house in October 2013. It was still raining when I left for work as well. I tried to go for a run this morning between showers. That did not work. I poured about a half cup of water out of my running shoes when I finished.
