Sorry Bruce.  >:D

You fooled me. There is no difference between what you typed and Bruce's average post.

Weekend weather forecast continues to cool.  Now looks like highs will only manage mid 50's with showers around.

Sitting here with a chilly, foggy morning and looking ahead to a cool, cloudy weekend has me wondering if one evening this weekend will see the first fire of the season.  We're definitely getting close to that time and I'm ready to enjoy the sounds and smells of a hot wood stove.

Earth transforms sunlight's visible light energy into infrared light energy, which leaves Earth slowly because it is absorbed by greenhouse gases. When people produce greenhouse gases, energy leaves Earth even more slowly – raising Earth's temperature. http://www.howglobalwarmingworks.org/

Looks like another soaker system moving in Friday, and a cool, damp weekend ahead.  This October has strayed from the previous two and delivered far more moisture than normal.

Nice! Seems like I went straight from AC to having to run the heat for at least a little while. Have already run the woodstove three or four mornings. Hoping for some more open windows weather.

It should be noted that we will likely finish October average to even slightly above average just because of how strong the + departure from average was on the first 10 days of the month.  Currently, Nashville is at +3.8F and Paducah +2.8 on the month.  We will have below average temps for the remainder but it probably only knock us down to about 0 to +1 for the departure.

It is a shame its not a little deeper into winter.  The system that is moving through today would have been a nice snow event for our neck of the woods if it were Jan-Feb.
