September & October are two of my favorite months for outdoor fun.  The heat of summer begins to wane with cooler, crisp days becoming more frequent.  Yet, there's still plenty of daylight to get out and enjoy nature, the grill, and the hammock.  Yeah, I do a little work on the house and yard, too; mainly in the form of gathering broken limbs and twigs to burn in the firepit while lying in the hammock.   ;)

Early fall preview the next couple of days with lows down in the 50s in rural areas. Enjoy it because next week looks hot/normal. :)

Walking from the car into the office this morning, it already has a much more pleasant feel.

I got down to 58 this morning. The hourly obs indicate fairly widespread 50s across the state outside of the UHIs.  ::applause::

Mt. LeConte dropped to 37 this morning after only reaching the mid-50's yesterday.

Another day and night of awesome weather for most before summer resurges.  Even so, it's nothing out of the ordinary.  Typical summer time heat/humidity with storms increasing as the week progresses.  Could be a lot worse in August.

I don't mind the summer weather (even after enjoying the pleasant temps this week). Next weekend is Labor Day weekend, and summer's days are numbered.
