This is very unusual for this time of year. The latest HRR has the Memphis area under the gun but keeps everything else way north and east of West Tn and most of Middle. Just have to wait and see how things develop.
Yeah its like the HRRR only has 1 line come through us while Memphis gets wave after wave. I guess its a wait and see what happens at this point.

What size hail are we looking at with these storms? Im not smart enough to tell from these charts how strong the updrafts are with these storms.

This one heck of a setup.

Driving from MEM back to BNA, there is a distinct line near Jackson where the cloud cover ends and the blue skies begin.. Break out the crackers, it's extra soupy outside.

WIth the steep lapse rates and very unstable airmass the hail threat could go least golfball sized with any of the stronger storms.  Overall our setup isn't too dissimilar to a late spring High Plains setup.

Its kind of weird having the wind blowing with as hot and humid as it is outside. Usually when it feels like this theres no wind.

We are planning to go camping in Chattanooga this evening through Sunday near the lake. It looks like Chattanooga will miss out on the worst of this - or should we cancel the trip, based on what you all are seeing now? I'd appreciate any insight.
