Major pattern change esp for mid summer with a pronounced ease coast trough setting up this week and for the extended. Goodbye mid and upper 90’s for quite some time. I won’t have any problems for a below normal August to start college football season.

Does that mean more rain?

Hopefully some rainfall will help wash away the tears of another terrible season

Look at it this way: it can’t possibly be much worse than last year. I just hope we don’t drop 3 in a row to Vandy. Can’t believe I just typed that.

I’ve had rain 4 days in a row now. It’s nice not to have to water.

I guess the models backed off the pattern change thing? Because the forecast still has us at 90 every day for the next 7 days and dry minus friday/friday night. Bring on low 80s with low humidity or high humidity and lots of storms. These 90s are getting so old and we are not even half way done yet.

Rare forecast for a Tennessee afternoon in July:

Quote
Saturday
Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and early afternoon, then showers and thunderstorms likely late in the afternoon. Highs in the lower to mid 80s. Temperature steady or slowly falling in the afternoon. Southwest winds 10 mph or less. Chance of rain 60 percent.

Wow it's warmer where I am in Moscow than in Knoxville. 8pm right now on this side of the globe and the temperature is 75 F. It's been wet, but the weather is supposed to get hot and dry next week with temperatures approaching 90 F. I'm hoping to see some severe weather while I'm here. One of my  life goals is to witness severe weather in every country I visit.

Better then enemys.
But anyways the rain today is so weird its like very weak showers but the rain is just different then normal showers. Hard to explain lol. But before the rain the wind felt so so good with i guess lower humidity and lower temps too

I was getting heat agitated enough to start it and then .... this “cool down” helped.

Weak El Niño with the most anomalous SST warm in the mid Pacific perhaps? This is what you would get for December to March
