Too much sun could cause mixing concerns. Just something to consider.
hoping with more sun. We can pull up the dp to least upper 60 s range. That would increase instability least yeah good point you brought up
Come on severe wx season...

Not that I wish for an outbreak nor do I think one will happen today...... But my pick for the first severe outbreak for TN was April 1st.... ::guitar::

Storms already breaking out in East Texas with tops around 60,000ft. Pretty impressive for 10 AM.. MCD for potential tornado watch for this area too.

I actually think today has outbreak potential as far as number of severe weather events.  I'm not expecting a classic supercell/tornado outbreak, but widespread wind damage, several tornadoes both along the line and anything that forms out ahead of it, and large hail are in the cards.  The low level shear is quite a bit concerning and suggests that there could be quite a bit of rotation all across the squall line/QLCS.

I think 11/9/2000, 2/24/2001, 4/4/2011, and even 2/24/2018 are all solid analogs for this event, at least as far as impacts go.

The Owensboro Class doesn't concern most of us, but there is an interesting message in here about today and tonight at for West KY and possibly West TN as well.

would not surprise me at all if the SPC went higher risk either with larger hatched area for tornadoes/wind or moderate across NE Arkansas into far NW Tennessee into west Kentucky with its next update.... Moderate risk might be pushing it..... HRRR is consistent and with the sun breaking through the clouds in the region I am concerned.  Visible satellite over the region over Arkansas and MO show lots of breaks and gravity waves with the clouds.
