I am close to a carbon copy to what Snowman reported. Still had at least 2.5 on the ground. As snow ended in the morning we had 5 inches. Probably settled to a solid 4+. There is a solid 7 inch snowpack in my backyard. We have had 1.5 inches of sleet and 9 inches  of powder in 5 days. Been a very long time since we have had these exact conditions. I would guess 1985.

Measured several places--deck, yard, car top.  Some were slightly over 2, some slightly under.  So I guess around 2" would be about what we got here.  It was a very cool event--to be sunny in the morning and watch the clouds lower to the point snow began to fall out of them.  Some decent banding occurred--and lasted about 15-20 minutes.  That's when most of the accumulation happened.

It has whet my appetite for another one. ::yum:: ::yum::

Confident in saying we received 1.9" in downtown Knoxville. Lived up to expectations and makes for a beautiful winter day!

We finished with 3.5 inches here on the northern plateau...first time we've had more than a trace this season.

We all owe Chatt one. When it comes to snow down here, I am a socialist.

Herbert Hoover promised "a chicken in every pot."  I'm for snow in every backyard! (that wants it).
