I forgot how peaceful a snowpack is. You can here a bird a half a mile away. Looks like we will have good snow on the ground for over a week. It has been a while.

That's one reason I love snowfall--during and afterwards.  In the modern world there is little tranquility left these days.  Snow is one thing that still slows us down, and brings a calm, quiet when it falls.
