Just looking at the radar, snow appears to be increasing in and around Nashville proper.

It definitely is. ~35 dbz of pure snow in portions of that band. Incredible.

For some reason I canít post in chat on mobile... but I just have to say

Folks - upper level lows are not like the forcing from a cold front. The dynamics move and the lift causes precip to form with it. Thatís why the motion of the snow bands look so funny, and it seems impossible to track. You can see how as the dynamics moved, northern middle just exploded with 25-35dbz returns. Stop freaking out if youíre north of 40. Youíll see some snow

Wind howling here now!  Gusts easily near 30mph.  Temperature down to 42.  With the trajectory of the upper low slightly north of east, that doesn't bode well for snow in eastern TN.  However, local TV meteorologists do show some redevelopment of light snow on their "in house" models in the foothills.  At least its Friday, and it won't matter if I stay up late to see what happens.

Been out of pocket today. That was the closest to blizzard conditions we have had in a while. Not convinced that we did not meet the criteria. There were a few times with whiteout conditions. I'm not exaggerating at all. Hard to come up with a total with sleet but WREG in Memphis had 6 inches as the total. Definitely came in on high side of guidance for us. Got a couple pics I'll post later.

Whole lotta nothing here in the Cane Ridge area. That moisture is really having a hard time pushing down this way. I think it can sense my presence.

Those of us south of I40 just need to move.  I'm sure someone who hates snow would love to buy my house.  :)

LOL...it does seem to go *poof* as it crosses I-40.  Amazing how a layer of concrete and asphalt on the ground can affect weather.  Who said we can't control it?   :D

Impressive. It seems areas from Jackson northeast also got 3-5". I have a solid 2" of sleet and snow on the grass. The sleet was absolutely pouring here for a while this morning. Road conditions are pretty poor. Easily the most significant event in Memphis proper since 2015 and probably 3rd or 4th biggest event since 2011.

I also live 2 miles from the I240 loop. We are always an icy transition zone.

We ended up with 5 inches in Humboldt, TN. Some measurments I took came out to 4.5, but mostly 5. Roads are disgusting.
